Welcome to TKO Hawaii

Traditional Karate-Do Organization Hawaii

Introduction

TKO Hawaii was established in 2006 by Chief Sensei and Founder, Sensei Aaron Oandasan. During this time Sensei Aaron has taught and shared his version of Shotokan Karate with many students, from young children, to competitive teenagers and senior citizens. by adhering to and teaching the basic tenants of the dojo kun, Sensei Aaron has emanated his passion in his continued practice and teaching of this art.

Currently TKO Hawaii is being led by Sensei Charles Tomas and Sensei Blane Tomas, both of whom are lifelong students of the martial arts. Along with Sensei David Keliiholokai, Sensei Mark Fujishiro and Sensei Ty Nakamoto. TKO Hawaii is on a current path to teach Shotokan Karate with some “old school” methods mixed with some “new school” methods. Dojo training implements the three K’s, Kihon, Kata and Kumite. Each student is pushed to their limits, with hard work and resilience being enforced. Training methods are strict, challenging and fun! We focus on Karate as a way of life. Self-defense, self-improvement and self-discipline. Students are expected to work hard towards improvement.
