Traditional Karate-Do Organization Hawaii

TKO Hawaii practices traditional Shotokan Karate, a style characterized by deep, low stances, powerful techniques, and an emphasis on fundamentals. Classes are structured to challenge each student both physically and mentally. At TKO Hawaii, dojo training incorporates the 3 K’s—Kihon, Kata, and Kumite. Each student is pushed to their limits, with hard work and resilience being strongly emphasized. As students advance in their training, they are also introduced to the study of Bunkai (self-defense applications). In addition to learning Karate, students also develop good moral character and respect for themselves and others through the Dojo Kun (dojo precepts).
